Description
Heavy, thick-skinned pomegranates filled with deep red, juicy arils. The flavour is a lively balance of sweet and tart — excellent for juicing, salads, desserts and garnish.

The story
In Upper Egypt pomegranates have been grown since the time of the pharaohs; the fruit appears in tomb paintings along the Nile. The dry southern climate gives a firm rind and intensely coloured arils.
